[He's quiet for a moment too, his fingers doodling little circles on Derek's chest.]

...Promise me you won't be weird about it? When the time comes and we decide we wanna do it?

Well, I want you to be sure. [ He sighs, laying back on the mattress and looking up at the ceiling. ] It's... easy. To regret. No one should have to regret.

[He tilts his head next to Derek's, staring at his profile.]

[ Stiles says that now, when he's still enamored of Derek, still sees something in him that Derek doesn't. It won't last. He knows it won't. But he doesn't have the heart to tell him that, either. ] Alright.

[He leans up and kisses Derek softly, once.]

Considering it's a parasite, probably not.

[ Derek rolls his eyes. ] Stiles. It's a parasite. Remove it, and yes, I can heal it, more than likely. I've never had it happen to me or anyone I know, though, so I don't know. [ A sigh. ] It's not like there's... a symposium or a convention or something that we all go to, to compare notes on things.

[This is the sexiest conversation ever. But it is distracting him from wanting to jump Derek's bones.]

There should be. A yearly get together. All the wolves in a convention center in Las Vegas. During the new moon. Vegas is crazy, but not werewolf crazy.

But that does make sense. Okay, duly noted, memo to self.

Because getting us all cooped up in one area on the new moon is a great idea, thanks for that. [ Did that come out a little more bitter than he intended? Probably. ]

[ He stills, considering. He's quiet for a long moment, before rolling over to face Stiles, although he can't quite look him in the eye. ] My family... when the house fire happened, when Kate managed to trap them all.. it was when we were gathered for the new moon. She... found out that everyone would be there, and planned accordingly.

[And that was a piece of the puzzle that Stiles did not have. His jaw drops, his eyes go wide, and he gasps. He slowly backs away from the cuddle, feeling about two inches tall.]

Oh my god, Derek. I am so sorry. That's...oh, shit.

[garou]

[ Derek reaches for him, won't let him get far. ] It's fine.

[ It isn't, but Derek doesn't want to lose this moment, is clinging to it with everything he can. He doesn't want it to be screwed up this time. Needs it to not be. ] It's fine.

[At first, Stiles freezes, but then he relaxes back into the embrace, clinging to Derek just as tightly. He'd been wanting to do this, hug the man for support, since he'd figured out Kate Argent. He kisses his forehead once, possessively and protectively.]

...Okay, Derek. It's okay.

Yeah. [ He relaxes a little against Stiles, pressing his face to his neck. ] She's... gone. She won't hurt Cora.

That's right. She's gone. She can't hurt you anymore either.

[He starts running his long fingers through Derek's hair, nails brushing lightly over his scalp.]

[ He hums and leans into the touch, and, okay, Derek likes getting his head scritched, okay? Don't judge him. It feels nice. Usually Cora's the only one who does this for him... but he's quickly becoming alright with getting it from Stiles, too. ]

[Oh! He likes that! Good to know. So Stiles keeps it up, same rhythm, same slight scratch, a little smile on his face. God. He was already gone. Stick a fork in him. He's never letting Derek go.]
