IC Contact Post For Tushanshu & Nematon

Hi, you've reached the Stud Muffin. Can't answer the phone right now. Why are you even calling? Texting. Wave of the future.
BLEEP.
((Please label threads as belonging to Tushanshu or Nematon please.))BLEEP.
video;
video;
I'm on my way to the dojo now.
video;
Make sure to bring clothes you don't mind getting sweaty.
video to action?
[He disappears from the feed, and sure enough, about thirty minutes later he's poking his head in the door.]
Hello?
TO ACTION!
Come on in. [After she's done moving a wooden dummy, no unlike the one she has at home into place, she waves Stiles inside.] You're letting the cold air in.
[That's more for him than her. Korra would go jogging outside in the workout clothes she wearing right now. A sports top, tight shorts, and wraps on both hands & feet are enough to keep her warm. Sure.]
Action!
Hey! Looking good there, Memento.
action;
Now come on, I need to see how strong you are so I know where we should start at.
[The first floor's interior is full of practice equipment for martial arts, but Korra heads over to a hanging punching bag next to the wall by the dojo's office and pats it with her hand.]
action;
[He tosses aside his jacket, revealing his workout clothes: loose silk trousers and a tank top. He's wiry, lanky, but he does have some muscle definition at least. Lacrosse helped with that, and Batman's training sessions are guiding him back in.]
Just hit it, huh? Okay...
[He pulls back a (properly made) fist and gives the bag a punch. It's nowhere near "strong" but it's not exactly weak, either. On a scale of one to ten, it rates about a four.]
action;
Not bad. I was kind of expecting you to hurt your wrist. [Half a second-] No offense. You just wear a lot of clothes, so it’s hard to tell. We can do some strength training later if you want, but I think we can just jump right into the basics.
[Giving a smirk and wave to follow, Korra leads him over to wear one of the mats are set up.]
action;
So, go easy on me. I'm fragile and bruise like an overripe peach.
action;
Don't worry. We're just going to cover the basics on blocking, punching, kicking, and if you're still up for it after that; some throws. We can do forms and technique afterwards. Sparring won't happen until we get you in on some of those.
[It's going to be a grueling two hours, but all the sweat will be worth it.]
action;
[He might surprise her; he's already had a session with Batman. So he's at least got some game. He loosens himself up and jumps around a bit on the balls of his feet, getting ready.]
Bring the noise.
action;
Going through the basics is easy. Too easy. Since she didn’t have to teach how to make a proper fist or even do a proper punch, Korra digs right into the wheres and whens of punching. It’s after they done the same with kicks and are already halfway through throws when Korra puts up her hand for a break.]
Okay, Stiles. I thought you didn’t know any of this stuff. [Said with a curious look as she offers to help him up after demonstrating a throw.] If Dinah were here, she’d be asking me what the deal is.
[Her former mentor’s absence isn’t what she wants to bring up, but it’s the truth.]
action;
[He gives her a sheepish grin, and shrugs. And he'll admit that he's nowhere near as sore as he was the very first time he did this with Batman.]
I've been seeing another trainer on the side, baby. Don't be mad.
action;
[Deciding on Baguazhang, Air, since it seemed to suit Stiles’ personality from what she’s experienced; Korra fell into it’s stance.]
See if you can follow along.
[It’s a simple kata, the first one she learned after unlocking her airbending.]
action;
[He falls into the stance, but wrong, subtle positioning things just slightly off. He's not at all a martial arts master by any stretch yet. But at least he's not totally embarrassing himself. ...He's not embarrassing himself, right Korra?]
action;
Now try it out again, but by yourself this time. [Of course she’s not going to expect him to remember every movement, but it’s good to see how much he can retain.]
See if you can feel the difference.
action;
[He racks his memory (fairly decent when he's focused), and starts the movements over again with her suggestions implemented. Call it about a thirty percent improvement. And he flubs a few of the kicks and definitely cannot do the high kick at all. Not without pulling his groin muscle. When he's done, he's left breathless, which is ironic for the Air kata.]
H-How was that?
action;
Practice that one when you get home, then we can work on making your legs just as useful as your arms. [A small, fairly harmless jab at the shoulder.]
But all in all, not bad Stiles. Who's your other teach? [With the dojo opening up again soon, she's going to need some teachers, so it's worth asking.]
action;
[It's the first name that pops into his head, since he doesn't want to tell her "Batman" for the obvious reason.]
I mean, he's no martial arts expert, but he knows enough to teach me the basic basics.
action;
Never heard of him, but he’s got you on the right track. See if he can go over that one with you. Might even help both of you out.
