So Teen Wolf is a show that references other media works, like DC and Marvel Comics. As a result, Stiles has canon knowledge of various comic book characters. To avoid canon-puncturing you and harshing your mellow, I have here a handy-dandy PERMISSIONS POST.

Remembering previous such discussions where Daddybat has been concerned, that would be a no. Bats keep secret identities until/unless there are in-game reasons otherwise. (Roy may correct me on this one, but I'm pretty sure that's how it went, before.)

Can Stiles 4th Wall you? This involves fourth walling the entire Marvel cast, so you'd have to get their thoughts on it. For simplicity's sake I'll say no to fourth walling him as MCU, but if you want to recognize him from a various comic iteration, go wild!

The way I'm thinking of it is just a tiny bit of 'amnesia' and turtle magic™. For example, I'm fairly sure Stiles has made at least one reference to Hulking Out on Teen Wolf. So encountering Bruce Banner might not ping any memories. But seeing a giant green dude getting his smash on will DEFINITELY do it.

Basically? Until I hear otherwise from individual players, all canon-puncturing references will be held strictly to the Super-Powered alter egos.

As said, Kon has had a comic and in his canon point, he doesn't have a secret identity.

Kurt, I'd rather not have his death mentioned, as for secret identity, I don't mind if Stiles knows it. There's not many amazing good looking blue guys around.

Preferred not. My standard with Ororo is say "feel free" to have a comic analogue of her named Weatherwitch or what have you, but not Ororo herself. She already has enough issues dealing with the fact her 616 rendition is a million times more glamorous than herself that I really don't want to verge into the existentialist crisis of being a comic character.

ARTHUR: Lol what's a secret identity. Aquaman don't curr and all his names (Arthur Curry, King Orin, Aquaman) are publicly known. I think I'd prefer to keep the more personal aspects of his life out of the comics Stiles would have read? IE not mentioning there's a comic about the death of Arthur's son or all his marital problems etc. Superhero stuff like throwdowns with Black Manta and Ocean Master, the existence of Atlantis, most of his League exploits, etc are a-okay.
BUCKY: Doesn't really have a secret identity anymore either so nbd. Same as above though, I'd like to keep his known comic book exploits more toward the really old Captain America comics that are actual propaganda comics in canon and less about his actual, government secret history. (Like "you stumbled into Steve's tent and found out he was Captain America" instead of "you were trained by the government to do the dirty work that Cap couldn't"). I can clarify more if necessary! But recognizing him as Bucky and as Cap's partner is perfectly fine, I just don't want "the comics" and "Bucky's actual life" to match up too eerily closely if that makes any sense at all.

Aaaand I have no idea if Stiles would know A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones but Renly (loveandloyalty) gets freaked out about little things enough as it is so I'd probably like to avoid fourth walling with him.

Considering that Scott doesn't really have a secret ID anymore and that Fraction and Allred showed up as themselves in the last issue of FF to write a comic about the FF (FF-ception??) I don't think there's anything Stiles can't/shouldn't mention. There's not that much that'll make Scott go 'wtf' though he might ask if the comic about him is any good...

Soranik doesn't have a secret identity because those are for LOSERS ON EARTH. Feel free to mention that the Green Lantern Corps are a thing (if it's okay with Zee for Kyle), but nope on the 'so you're a fictional character' and any information regarding her biological father/in depth plot details on the comic events.

I'd like to stay away from the fact that Tommy only exists as a comic book so as long as no 'you're only in fiction dude' things are mentioned, Tommy would probably be pretty chuffed he's in a comic book. But yeah, Tommy is Speed from Young Avengers. Scarlet Witch is his mom. go for broke, Stiles.

Tommy's really bad a secret identities. It doesn't really matter if it gets out who he is. But he should probably stay away from knowing about Tommy's stint in juvie unless he wants a smack to the face. Tommy doesn't like talking about it, and will be freaked out someone knows about it.

But, for me, I'd prefer that any DC 4th Walling... not happen in a conversation with Bart. You're free to talk about him with others to your heart's content.

There's nothing unmentionable. I'd prefer that Stiles isn't going around telling people that he's Impulse/K.F. II/Flash IV, but he can know. It's not the best kept secret identity anyway.

Not necessarily! Stiles has already run into a couple of Marvel characters he does not know, and did not recognize. Nobody can read every comic and know every character. If you would prefer Stiles not to recognize Bart, then he won't.

Billy: Oh yeah. I mean, it's canon in the Marvel universe that there are comic books of pretty much all of the superheroes out there within their world, like X-Men and the Avengers and stuff. Billy hasn't seen a Young Avengers comic, but he wouldn't be surprised if there was one out there!
Dick: I don't want to say no, but I saw since the Batfam = Wayne Family is not going to be discussed, I wouldn't mind it? I think Dick would be sort of flattered if Nightwing was ever discussed (when he's Nightwing, he's getting that costume soon!), and plenty of people also know Dick Grayson... basically don't tell him he's only a fictional character, and we're good.

Billy: Go right ahead! Billy hasn't kept any kind of secret identity going on here, though he hasn't outright been "Oh yeah I'm Wiccan", but that's cool. Just don't mention what happens in Children's Crusade, because Billy is only from the beginning of that and so has no idea what happens, and he doesn't want to.
Dick: Batfam says nope! Which is what I would say, too xD

I love how everyone is like, nope, we wouldn't watch that show BUT BILLY WOULD WATCH IT because he's Billy Kaplan and he loves that kind of stuff. Dick hates watching TV because he figures out the plots of it before they happen.

I'd rather have him not know Clark Kent = Superman, mostly because it'd be pretty damn dangerous. He's free too know Clark and Lois are those journalists that are always writing about Superman though. Apart from that he's free to know every little detail about superman, like idk if he wants to know his Kryptonian parent's names or about that one time he died (it didn't take) go ahead.

That's not a problem at all! The way I'm looking at it is, those comics? Were kinda like the pirate comics in Watchmen. You don't need to know the backstory of the guy adrift at sea, he's adrift at sea and what will happen next?

So as far as Stiles is concerned, backstories and secret identities weren't covered in his comics that he read. It was enough that Batman and Superman were out fighting the Joker and Mxyzptlk.
