...Ah, jeez. No. I mean, we can if you want to. But...ugh. No. I watched them as part of my werewolf crash course and they're terrible. Kristen Stewart just cannot freakin' act.

[ Derek sighs and closes his eyes, and he looks... pained? But not in the 'I miss my sister way', in the 'My sister actually made me watch Twilight' way. ] No, she thought whatshisface was cute. The werewolf guy. Taylor Swift? So we went and saw it in theaters. Four times.

[ This is Derek's best 'I don't give a shit' face. ] The point is, I've seen that movie, and, yes, werewolves don't work that way—[ He stops short, sniffing the air. ] Is something burning?

[He runs to the stove, and sure enough, the rice is now a charred mess in the bottom of the pot.]

Crap in a freakin' hat!

[ Derek follows after him, peering into the kitchen. ] Everything okay?>

...Wanna go get pad thai again?

What happened? [ And Derek enters the kitchen, coming up to stand behind Stiles. ]

Burned the rice. I should just give up and hire a cook.

[garou]

[ Derek frowns a little, peering over Stiles' shoulder into the pan. He ponders for a minute, and then steps around Stiles, grabbing for the pan and a wooden spoon. ] I think we can save it. Do you have any bread?

[skybluejeep]

Bread? Uh. Yeah. Hold on.

[He grabs the small white loaf he's keeping in an actual bread box.]

How is this gonna help?

[ Derek turns the burner off, poking at the rice with the spoon before setting it down. He snags a slice of the bread and puts it in the pot, putting the lid back on. ] The bread will absorb the burnt taste, so we can rescue what rice isn't stuck to the pan.
