[His first instinct is to tease Derek for that. If Scott had said anything that corny, Stiles would never let him live it down. But then, he blinks, and pauses, and realizes that Derek just expressed...an opinion. Something he likes. Something he finds nice. And Stiles has come to treasure those moments, since they're so damn rare.]

...Yeah? Maybe I'll get used to it someday. I'll keep that in mind.

So you're saying you want a winter wedding, basically?

[Okay there's some smart-assery. It's STILES, after all.]

[ Derek glances down at him, brows furrowing. ] Never really thought about it.

[ Not after Kate, anyway. ]

I can just see you, in a winter white tux. Blue bow tie, cuz you're classy like that. And everything's covered in snow, and all the guests are shivering their butts off in the pavilion seating outside.

[ Derek rolls his eyes. ] Whatever you say.

[Of course, now Stiles is thinking of Derek marrying somebody, and it's gonna be a woman. And he's depressed suddenly.]

I'd offer to be, like, an usher or something, but I'll be dying of frostbite over by the reception buffet.

You'd be a groomsman, at the very least. [ He doesn't even hesitate when he says it. ]

Yeah? Well, that's something. I'd still be turning blue over by the canapes.

[garou]

[ Huff. ] Canapes? You're seriously having me serve canapes at my imaginary wedding.

Uh, yeah. Really nice ones. With pricy caviar and black rye and dill flown in fresh from the highest mountain peak in Peru.

No. Canapes are gross.

So what sort of fancy finger foods would you serve?

Because you know there are all different kinds, right? It's not all just caviar and cream cheese.

[ He thinks for a moment, as they walk. ] My dad used to make these, ah... little mini pies. I'd probably try to find someone to make those.

...Classy, home-made mini pies. I like it.

Your wedding's gonna be awesome. Cold, but awesome.

If I ever get married. [ He huffs out, shoving his hands into his pockets. ]

[His voice is certain, and sincere, and more than a little resigned.]

[ Derek frowns, and looks over at him. ] I'd really rather not talk about it.

[And for once, Stiles listens! He doesn't push it anymore, because yep, he's managed to depress himself.]

You want noodles tonight? Or rice?

[garou]

Both. [ He nods once. ]

Noodles. And rice. And eggrolls. And potstickers.

How the hell do you maintain that perfect body, you bastard?

[ Cheeky: ] Werewolf.

Ugh, of course.

[They're finally close to the stall, and Stiles' nose and lips are bright red from the cold.]

You're a dirty cheater, you really are.

[garou]

[ Derek raises an eyebrow, watches Stiles for a moment, trying to remember if he'd get frostbite from this weather or if he'd just be chilly for a while. He ended up at the conclusion that Stiles would be fine, for now, if whiny. He could deal with whiny.

He snorts out a small laugh, though, glancing up and down Stiles' torso, back up to his face. ] You're on track and the lacrosse team. You can't tell me that you don't work out.

Yes. I work out. I'm freakin' training to fight with Batman right now.

But seriously. That's a lot of carbs to maintain that incredible six-pack, dude. It's really not fair.

[ He shrugs. ] That's my metabolism.

And it's cheating.
