CANON INFO: Stiles is canon compliant all the way up Season 3, episode 7, titled Currents.
SHIPS: Yes I cop to it, I'm a Sterek shipper. That being said, I am not going to ignore canon for it, and I'm certainly not going to insist anybody ever follow my shipping preferences. Because I also ship Stydia, just as hard. (I also love Scott-Allison-Isaac OT3 so yeah I'm a dork.) I do not get involved in "shipping wars" and will not play ships just for their own sake. See my kink/shipping list here.
HEAD CANON: On one major point not explicitly covered by canon - Stiles' real first name is Przemysław. (Pronounced Shem-ISS-swaff) Yeah. Until otherwise stated in canon, I'm running with it.
I won't be using this head canon anywhere in an apped game, it's only for my own personal headcanony amusement.
RATING: Mun is over 18, character is not. Teen Wolf features explicit sexuality, and this journal may as well. I will write smut, but only in certain circumstances. All 18+ content will be behind a circle lock, or custom lock.

May. 13th, 2014 01:19 pmCharacter(s): 4 - 6
Mission Duration: Three to four weeks.
Mission Difficulty: ★★★★ & 1/2
Mission Type: Exploration / Intelligence & Recon
Projected Plot Impact: Seeking volunteers to discover Malicant's possible origins.
Proposed Worldbuilding Changes: Introducing the land of Akranon, a vast desert teeming with secrets, and two new races, the Scurris and the Viili.
DOSSIER
Even ancient and unknowable evils have an origin somewhere. Gods might spring fully-formed, but demons are a little trickier to pin down. Evandau is looking for volunteers to discover exactly where their enemy comes from, to find all the long-lost myths and legends surrounding Malicant. The Alderwood Emperor has the recon intelligence from the land in the sky, home of the former Ironwood Emperor. Now...he needs more. Anything at all, in his desperation to keep from being defeated. Akranon is a place the Emperor himself has never visited, and there's evidence that Malicant has his origins there.
The desert itself is approximately the size and breadth of the Sahara on Earth, with similar plant and animal life. Rainfall is an incredibly rare thing here, and water is scarce. World turtles can't exactly thrive in this environment, as a result. Minor oasis dot the landscape, but they're few and far between. The main center of living is the Curra Oasis.
Akranon is populated by two distinct races of people: the Scurris and the Viili. The former are humanoid, short and stocky, with thick, scale-like skin. Lizard people, basically. They are a relatively young race, scrambling for purchase and survival in an inhospitable land. They aren't exactly a warlike people, more like scavengers and survival experts. When they came to the Curra Oasis, they didn't conquer it; they simply moved in, and slowly took over. This caused some seething friction with the Viili. But Viili aren't exactly capable of holding land...
The Viili aren't humanoid. They're beings of energy, held together by sheer force of will. They are not shape shifters, but they will gather bits and pieces of physical matter around them to hold a body shape. It's not uncommon to see a tumbleweed in the desert randomly change direction, and then begin to walk on crumbling branches and spines, or a dune of sand undulating without a wind to stir it. Viili are, as a result, a fairly peaceful people, but resent the encroaching Scurris. Each race does not trust the other, they hold no meaningful talks, they don't engage in significant trade. But they occupy the same spaces, so friction is inevitable. But how does a being of energy start a war...?
Places Of Interest:
Curra Oasis - Current land of the Scurris, and their small but thriving tent city. There's a market, open for trade, and the food is what can be scrounged.
Truul Oasis - Approximately twenty-five miles from Curra, Truul is a place that the Scurris avoid, with whispers of hauntings, dark energies, and magic. Truul is in fact significantly larger, but no Scurris will live there. Viili, on the other hand, linger around the place, driven here out of desperation, and an almost instinctive need. Could these rumors be true? Is the place haunted? And if so, by what? And why are the waters so dark...?
The Ruins - Located outside the Truul Oasis, the ruins are what's left of a significant temple, which descends deep into the ground. A twisting maze of stone, like the architecture of a pyramid, lies below. What's at the center of the temple's depths? Could this be Malicant's place of origin?
Players will be given several options in this plot line, from exploration of the oases and ruins, to talking to the Scurris and the Viili to gather more information. Magic users and baseline humans alike have plenty to do in this setting, which will require lots of in-character preparation and knowledge of desert survival skills. (There's no heavy transport, after all. You walk or you don't go.)
OUTCOME
Depending on the player's actions, this setting and plot has the chance to significantly change the course of the game's direction; discovering Malicant's origins could open up the key to destroying him. The eventual end of this plot requires coordination and discussion with the mods.

Character Name: Stiles Stilinski
Series: Teen Wolf
Character Age: 18
Canon Point: End of season 3, Lunar Eclipse.
Reference: http://teenwolf.wikia.com/wiki/Stiles_Stilinski
Gender: Male
Suitability: Aged up to 18 for the purposes of the game. Also a major virgin, so this'll be very interesting.
Appearance: This is him. Lots of plaid, sticky-uppy hair, flails his limbs way too much.
Personality: He is, at heart, a very good kid. Perhaps a bit more prone to getting in trouble than most kids his age, but the bottom line is this is a kid who would do anything for his friends, anything to protect his family, and try desperately to save lives, any way he could. Even through all the shifting alliances and friendships that mark the world he lives in, he's always willing to put himself on the line to help those he cares for. He's unendingly loyal, perhaps a bit too much, and nothing will shake him from that. Stiles does have a little bit of a morbid streak, though. This won't come out in his every-day conversation or the way he self-expresses. However, if there are reports of a crime, or a dead body somewhere, he just has to know exactly what's going on. Which means sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong, sometimes. The upside of this morbid streak is that he's usually the first to put the puzzle pieces together, and figure out what the hell is actually happening. He's incredibly smart, but unfortunately his ADHD sometimes gets in the way of it. If he forgets to take his meds, or takes too many, he can get more than a little spazzy. He's lived with that diagnosis since he was a small child, though, so he knows (mostly) how to manage it.
He has one great friend, his best friend, the friend he'd do anything for: Scott McCall. He and Scott started off as unpopular boys, barely getting any attention of any kind, positive or negative. The way he feels about Scott is an enormous part of his character. He was a very lonely kid, and Scott became his brother. Without Scott, he'd be a very different person, and he knows it. Scott's inherent goodness is a huge inspiration to Stiles, and they both keep the same sort of moral code, for the most part. Stiles a touch more practical in the end, but never ugly or cruel about it.
He has one great love in his life: One Lydia Martin. Having apparently known each other as children, Stiles has been mooning over her for years, and she barely acknowledges his existence. Or at least, she used to. Within the last six months, they've grown closer, perhaps understanding that they had a bond that the others in their circle of friends didn't understand. The humans. Although the edge of his obsession with her seems to be wearing off, as they grow closer. He has shifted his feelings into something more friendly as opposed to 'be mine forever plz' and isn't being creepy about it anymore. (Yeah, he was "That Guy" for a while and it was annoying.)
Stiles has a very antagonistic relationship with the other werewolves of Beacon Hills; the Hale pack, especially Derek Hale, worries him and annoys him and angers him all in equal measure. He and Derek are often at odds, but when push comes to shove, they'll help each other out, save each other's necks. The anger typically is the result of Derek's really piss-poor decision making skills. Seriously, Derek. Get your shit together.
His relationship with his father, the sheriff of Beacon Hills, is incredibly tight-knit, although Stiles has started to distance himself a little bit from his father. He says he wants to keep the man safe, and away from all the supernatural weirdness in his life. But he's starting to realize that's not working out so well. He will lie to his father, yes, but usually from the best intentions. Stiles is mildly obsessed with his father's health, forcing him to eat vegetables and stay away from junk food. He loves his father very, very much, and would be crushed if anything happened to him.
He can cry in front of people he trusts, but otherwise puts up an emotional wall of cheerful sarcasm and fast talking. It's not so much that he won't share his emotions, but rather that he finds them so overwhelming that it's hard to cope with them. Occasionally prone to panic attacks, he figures it's best to keep the negative bottled up and put away, even from his own self. This has everything to do with his mother's death, and his unprocessed feelings about it. He fully blames himself for it, although the reasons why haven't been made explicit. Survivor's guilt, perhaps. (It's been made explicit in canon when Claudia Stilinski died; when Stiles was nine years old. It's still not clear exactly what she died of, but it's heavily implied to be cancer.) There is a hint of a temper inside of him as well, but he can usually bite it back before it gets the better of him. Most of the time, though, he is all about the jokes. He has a very sarcastic sense of humor, very dry. Although he can get absolutely downright goofy if he wants to. Most everybody sees him as a complete spazz, and he's perfectly fine with that.
He's also incredibly brave. He will bounce back from events that would seriously traumatize a normal person. Near the end of season 2, Stiles withstood a beating from a Hunter who was bigger and stronger than him, all to protect two werewolves he didn't feel too cozy about. He will risk death to save others, and will even manage to endure exhaustion. Saving Derek Hale in the pool of the high school gym is proof enough of that. When directly threatened, he'll stand up for himself, and doesn't hesitate to come to rescue of others.
In spite of being tagged as the "comic relief" of his core of friends, he also has a serious side, but it's very rare. Most of the time he prefers to keep up the smile, the doofy act, the sarcasm and the jokes.
As of the end of season 3A, Stiles made a decision to sacrifice his innocence to save his father's life. As a result, he has a "darkness around his heart" that affects his character. He won't become evil per se, but he'll definitely be suffering from nightmares, insomnia, and perhaps a desire to be involved in some really rough and kinky stuff.
Powers, Abilities & Skills: Hahaha um. Power of sass, snark, and sarcasm. And Adderall-fueled Google searches. He's a baseline human, with no more strength than an average teenage boy.
First Person Sample: [Stiles taps one finger to the surface of the mirror, and he appears, looking disgusted and annoyed.]
...A shack. A literal shack. You couldn't have sprung for a more...amorous sort of spot? I mean, this is no bueno. Even a prom date usually goes to a Motel 6 or something. I'm not asking for a Westin resort, but...a literal shack? Great. Awesome. Let's put on some Barry White and screw in my shack.
Um. Anyway. I'm Stiles. Above rant was aimed at the people holding us here and not anybody held captive, just for the record. And I'm more than a little weirded out by all of this, and what's going on here, and can we not with the magical sexy times? The delicate flower of my manhood is not up for auction, okay? There's only one girl I'd want to bump uglies with, and she's not here. So until Lydia Martin appears, I'm keeping my V-card, thanks ever so much.
Third Person Sample: Flopping back down on his bed, in his new home, Stiles sighed and closed his eyes. Great. Trapped in a literal alternate universe. Like werewolves and dark druids and kanima weren't enough.
And worst of all, there was this super creepy council or whatever telling him that sexual energy would get him home faster. His eyes fell on his "welcome basket" and he groaned in annoyance and...something a little darker.
Awesome. Like, this wasn't the set-up for the weirdest and worst and skeeviest porno in the history of mankind. ...Okay there were other skeevier ones out there, but you really had to trawl the darkest corners of the internet to find it. Things involving parrots, god, who knows? And worst of all, he's intrigued.
He's interested. He'd become resigned to the fact that he was going to turn into Steve Carrel the 40 Year Old Virgin. He knew that the odds of him getting any before then were slim to nil. Who would want to sleep with him? He'd probably be terrible in the sack anyway, ADHD did not the best lovers make. Years and years of rejection had certainly done a number on his self-esteem. (Granted, he'd only really been after one girl who'd rejected him over and over, but still.) So...maybe here, he'd have a chance.
Ugh. Gross. Embarrassing. ....And also kinda hot.

Jul. 28th, 2013 06:43 pmWerewolf lore in the Teen Wolf universe.
There are three recognized type of werewolves; Alphas, Betas and Omegas. An Alpha wolf is the leader of his or her pack, made up of Betas. Seconds in command are still Betas, but are recognized as more powerful than others. Omegas are lone wolves without a pack, and as a result are usually chased down and killed by Hunters. (There is not much explicit in canon about why this happens, but it's heavily implied that 1) Lone wolves are easy pray for Hunters and 2) Lone wolves are much more likely to hurt/kill humans.)
Werewolves have a very loose sort of hierarchy within the world of Teen Wolf. A Beta can become an Alpha, and Alpha can fall to Omega or Beta, and on and on. If one is a werewolf, one's place in the dynamic of a pack can be in constant flux. A True Alpha is capable of shifting fully into a wolf form; other Alphas, Betas and Omegas are only capable of partially shifting. There are two types of Alpha; the Alpha that grabs his or her power through violence and murder (i.e.; killing the old Alpha or their entire pack of Betas) or a "True Alpha" who rises by sheer force of will, and by goodness of character. Alphas are the only werewolves that can confer the Bite onto humans, turning them into werewolves.
A pack of werewolves can be an enormous extended family, like the Hale family, or a group associated by choice and philosophy, coming together over shared values. This helps keep the pack bond strong. (Not much has been stated explicitly in canon as to what constitutes a pack bond, and what "powers" go along with it, other than it exists and can be felt by Bitten and Born wolves.) Werewolves in packs have more than just protection, it allows them to be "stronger" somehow, but, as above, canon is frustratingly vague on exactly why. (Seriously, Derek, stop biting random teenagers and hoping the pack will grow.)
There are also two types of werewolves; Bitten and Born. Those who are Born wolves are (usually) in better command of their powers, and understand pack dynamics almost instinctively. Bitten wolves have a very difficult struggle at first, their first full moons practically torturous. (And several full moons thereafter, frankly.) Most Bitten wolves are restrained during this period, to keep from hurting themselves and others.
There is also the risk to being Bitten: It might not take. If that happens, 99% of the time, the one bitten simply dies. However, very rarely, a Bitten human might turn into an abomination known as a Kanima, a lizard-like shapeshifter with a poisonous bite, only good for killing. There has only been one person ever brought back from being turned into a Kanima, Jackson Whittemore. (And then he went to London. Yup.)
Oh, and .000001% of the time, the bite will do nothing at all. There is one human who is totally immune to all supernatural threats, and that's Lydia Martin. She is, so far, the only person in canon stated to be immune.
Derek Hale, the current Alpha wolf in canon, states early on in the show that there's a Code of werewolf behavior, and an implied treaty with the Argent family hunters. This Code STILL has not been explicitly spelled out in three seasons. (FRUSTRATING) But Derek says his family "lived by the Code," implying that they were a law-abiding pack, and benevolent. Further implying that other packs in the area do not live by the Code, or had not in the past. The Alpha Pack, the current "bad guys" on the show, are all implied to have broken the Code by killing their own Betas. Doing so made them even more powerful, yes, but all twisted up inside.
