[He elbows Derek in the side, and snuggles in closer. Yeah. He's got it bad. But he's behaving himself, for the most part.]

...So what are you waiting for?

[That gets him to pause, and then bite the inside of his lip. Because, really, what is he waiting for?]

...Nothing. Let's go.

[garou]

[ Derek huffs, but doesn't argue this time, and stands up. ] Lead on.

Yeah.

[But he doesn't move for a bit. Not yet. He just lets out a happy breath, and rests his head on Derek's shoulder.]

Stiles. [ Derek says, gently pushing Stiles away from him. ] Food.

Hnnnngh.

[But he finally gets up and goes to get his coat. Damn it he'd been comfy. And snuggling. Ugh he had it so bad.]

[ Derek grabs his own leather jacket, shrugs it on. He's gotten better at ignoring Stiles' attraction. Makes it easier. ] Hurry up, or I'm leaving without you.

[He grabs his wallet, his keys, and is following Derek out the door.]

Hey! I have an idea, next time you bring the food when you come over. That way we can save the trip.

[ Derek just looks at him. ]

Don't gimme that look! Come on, I'll pay for it, you just gotta pick it up.

[He locks up his suite and nudges Derek with his elbow.]

[ Derek follows him, hands shoved into his pockets. ] I'm not a delivery service.

I'd bring you food! I have brought you food.

Although the walk is nice. A little chilly, but nice.

[ Derek glances at him, up and down. ] Are you cold?

[skybluejeep]

A little. You know me, California boy.

[Hmm. What would Derek do in response to that answer? Let's find out.]

[ Derek huffs a laugh, and glances up at the sky. ] You wouldn't last a day in New York's winter.

[ Making fun of him, apparently, is the response. Sorry, Stiles. ]

[Damn. He'd been hoping for an arm around the shoulders, or a loan of a jacket.]

Nope. I cheerfully would not. Humanity has spent the last few thousand years getting as far away from the cold as possible, taming fire to start, and moving up to fashion, architecture and the travel industry as we went. I find extreme cold uncivilized and unnecessary.

It's really not that bad. [ Derek rolls his eyes a little, breath huffing out in a cloud. ] Winter... it's quiet. Everything's a lot more clear.

[ He raises his face to the sky, even if he doesn't recognize these stars, they're still there. ] You can hear farther, and see farther, but there's nothing out there, like everything's asleep. Even in the city, it's just... silent. It's nice.

[His first instinct is to tease Derek for that. If Scott had said anything that corny, Stiles would never let him live it down. But then, he blinks, and pauses, and realizes that Derek just expressed...an opinion. Something he likes. Something he finds nice. And Stiles has come to treasure those moments, since they're so damn rare.]

...Yeah? Maybe I'll get used to it someday. I'll keep that in mind.

So you're saying you want a winter wedding, basically?

[Okay there's some smart-assery. It's STILES, after all.]

[ Derek glances down at him, brows furrowing. ] Never really thought about it.
